Emily Francis is a passionate and focused women’s RTW fashion designer and multi-disciplinary artist, with a background in fine arts, and over a decade of technical apparel experience. Emily’s designs balance a dreamy and feminine sensitivity, with a comfortable and relaxed ease. With an affection for knitwear, Emily utilizes multiple crafting techniques and intricate stitch combinations to create distinctive and highly-detailed sweaters. Before working as a designer, Emily previously worked as a professional specialty tailor (Evening Wear & Bridal), giving her a sharp eye for detail, as well as inspiring and informing her interest in pushing the boundaries of traditional pattern-making and construction in design. Emily focuses on innovation and creative textiles, with an emphasis on the importance of sustainability. Having worked as a fashion designer in companies ranging from Mass-Market to Designer/Luxury, Emily understands how to translate design and trend to a variety of customers & price-points with a refined and accessible point of view. She is a graduate of Parsons The New School for Design with BFA in Fashion Design (2016).
